Abhijit Chaudhari received his B. Eng. degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Pune, Pune, India, his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the California State University Northridge, Northridge, CA, USA and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and M.S. degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, USA. He joined the faculty of the University of California Davis, Davis, CA, USA in 2010, where he is currently a Professor in the Department of Radiology, the Director of the Center for Molecular and Genomic Imaging and the Interim Director of the Imaging Research Center. He is also a Core Scientist and Co-Leader of the Multimodal Imaging Core at the California National Primate Research Center.
The Chaudhari lab develops novel in vivo medical imaging techniques across species, focusing on disorders of the neurological systems. The development of these techniques is enabled through fundamentally advancing medical imaging instrumentation, acquisition, and image and data processing.
