Diasynou Fioravante, Ph.D.

Diasynou Fioravante

Position Title
Associate Professor of Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior

Bio

Dr. Fioravante received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston under the mentorship of John H. Byrne followed by postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School in the lab of Wade Regehr. At UC Davis, Dr. Fioravante is an associate professor in the Department of Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. Her lab studies synaptic and cellular properties of small neural networks in the context of learning and memory. She is particularly interested in understanding the principles that govern the activity-dependent formation of anatomical and dynamic functional microcircuits as well as identifying novel long-range cerebellar networks that regulate learning and memory.
