Position Title
Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering
Jiandi Wan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering in the University of California at Davis. Prof. Wan obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Boston University and conducted postdoctoral studies in Microfluidics at Harvard University and Princeton University. He then joined the faculty of the Rochester Institute of Technology and University of Rochester and moved to the University of California at Davis in 2018. Prof. Wan has developed novel microfluidic-based approaches to synthesize functional materials, explore 3D printing and tissue engineering, and investigate mechanosensing dynamics of red blood cells. Currently, his research group is working to identify the roles of neurovascular coupling in brain health and disease and exploring new areas of microfluidics in cultivated meat and battery rejuvenation.
